In a live stream today, Bethesda and Zenimax Online Studio announced that The Elder Scrolls Online will receive an expansion allowing players to venture to certain parts of The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind.
This expansion will add the island of Vvardenfell to the game, allowing players to actually undertake quests, in the now visually outdated world in a modern graphical setting, Morrowind fans rejoice. It will feature a 30 hour story and an all new playing class: The Warden, who fights using Earth-based magic, alongside his companion, which happens to be a bear.
Vvardenfell will have the same “geographic footprint” as in the original Morrowind, and will house all of the same landmarks, even though it’s set 700 years before the original.
It will cost $59.99, but this includes the base game itself too. If you already own the game though, it will only set you back $39.99, which certainly won’t break the bank. There will also various collectors editions available, should you wish to spend a bit more.
The Elder Scrolls Online: Morrowind expansion will release on June 6th across all platforms.
