On 13/01/2017, Microsoft unveiled “Game Mode” to the public, through it’s Xbox Wire blog. This shiny new function should make gaming the “top priority to improve your game’s quality.”
Microsoft want Windows 10 to be the “best Windows ever for gaming”, we’re happy to hear.
The question is, though, how exactly is this new mode supposed to actually increase performance? One would think that the games performance is completely dependant on the hardware under the hood. And this would be right, of course, to an extent.
This update will suppress other system processes and applications that may be negatively influencing the CPU, GPU and RAM, so that they aren’t using up resources that could increase the game’s performance.
If only a small update, a welcome one too.
